Started with only 7 players is not a good sign. And yet we gave our best. We just needed a win, that's all. First period started off with full press at the Hawks to take advantage of any loose ball or intercepted passes. But things doesn't go as plan as always. The Hawks has improved match by match and their defenders this time is actually playing floorball. More movement and passes between the defenders. Good job! But nevertheless Inne is still better than the Hawks in every aspects. Skills wise, we had more control of the game and could take more shots. However the game was quite a slow-paced one despite all inne's players were quite tired. I guess we are not mentally prepared. Could not brief the whole team at once due to some prob. But they managed to come for the game.
Not for long our Captain, Ephraim once again break the score to claim the first goal for the match. Bringing home another point for his individuals standing in the table. Precise and accurate pass from Tim to the blade of Ephraim. His drag shot once again beat Aman from the Hawks. Due to defensive error the Hawks managed to drew the score line. What a great disappointment! We will do what it takes to win this game, we told ourselves! True enough, Timothy at the top of his form ran all the way from his defending position to find the back of net unassisted which gave inne the lead once again!1-2 and the score stay as it is till the half time.
Second period begin with much faster pace where the Hawks pushing forward more to equal the score. inne was literally shopping on court as we were tired physically and mentally. Some were injured too. Thus giving the Hawks more chances to shoot at the goal but its denied by our defenders and goalie. If only they can take better shots inne might just give this game away. There were a lot of goal scoring opportunity where the ball was stuck in front of the mouth of the goal post from both sides. But none managed to find the net. And again Tim shot down the Hawks with his solo run to secure the winning position of inne. 3 points in one match! Just before the final whistle, a shot from the Hawks unexpectedly found the top corner of our goal which gain them a step closer from winning their first match of the league. But time did not permit them to do so. Final score 2-3 to inne.
Even though the team lacked communication and teamwork, we still managed to work together till the end.It is part of the learning process at the end of the day. And it never ends....
Final match against Contact Fireants will determine who will be the champion of the League08.
